The second Arabic Linguistics Forum conference was held at the University of York in December 2016, sponsored by the Department of Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York. The invited speakers were:

- Jamal Ouhalla (University College Dublin)
A workshop for postgraduate and early career researchers was delivered by Jalal Al-Tamimi (Newcastle University), on issues in experimental design for Arabic.
